Romeo S. Cabanban, MS

Romeo is an engineer who is passionate about medical imaging and Big Data analytics in healthcare. He is a Data Engineer for the Dissociative Disorders and Trauma Research Program at McLean Hospital, where he aims to accelerate neuroimaging analysis workflows using automation and modern software development practices.

 Romeo received his MS in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in Machine Learning, and BS dual-degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Engineering Physics from Jacksonville University. His published research focuses on neuroimaging studies in which each study utilizes his data processing tools for structural MRI, DTI, fMRI and biometrics data analysis. Currently, Romeo also serves as an Engineering Director at a software company that enhances healthcare systems' treatment of chronic diseases. He has diverse experience with healthcare technology, ranging from EMR software development to cloud solutions for healthcare informatics. Romeo is devoted to using his expertise in engineering and data science to address challenges in healthcare informatics.
